Ernest Eugene Ottowa of Kamiah ID. died August 9, 2011 at St. Mary's Hospital in Cotton Wood of age-related causes. He was 91. Ernest was born May 30, 1920 in Quincy, Ill. to Fredrick L and Lula Adams Ottowa. Ernest served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Maryland and was a survivor of Pearl Harbor. Ernest was a member of the USS Maryland BB46 Veterans Association and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3630 TRE.
Ernest was an avid gardner and outdoorsman. Ernest was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores J. Ottowa. Ernest is survived by his daughters Jean Green of Reno, NV and Peggy Elwell of Wellington, NV. and sons Robert and William Ottowa of Kamiah, ID. Per his request there will be no service held.
