Road Report Dec. 11

The following information applies to the period of Dec. 12-18:

The following is expected as a result of a project to complete a new north-south water transmission line on the eastside of Carson City.

• There will be a lane closure with flagger-controlled traffic on Fairview Drive south of Fifth Street.

• Fifth Street will be closed between Fairview Drive roundabout and Butti Way from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Detours will be marked.

There will be work at the following locations as a result of the Freeway Landscaping Project. No closures are expected.

• North Carson Street, in the vicinity of the freeway overpass.

• Arrowhead Drive between North Carson Street and Garnet Way.

• Northgate Lane between Jumbo Court and Dyer Court.

• Emerson Drive between Mark Way and College Parkway.

• East College Parkway, in the vicinity of the freeway overpass.

There will be work off-street due to the installation of gateway signs at the following locations. There will not be any lane closures, but use caution:

• The north shoulder of Highway 50 East between Arrowhead Drive and Flint Road.

• The east shoulder of Highway 395 just north of Topsy Lane.

• Near the southbound Carson City Freeway off-ramp at North Carson Street.

The following activity is expected due to utility work.

• On Monday and Tuesday, there will be flagger-controlled traffic on Emerson Drive just south of Arrowhead Drive. Minor delays are expected.

• On Tuesday, there will be a lane closure with flagger-controlled traffic on Garnet Way just north of Arrowhead Drive.
