Shake, Rattle 'n' Roll plays in the Carson Valley Inn Cabaret Lounge starting at 7:30 p.m. New Year's Eve. Shake, Rattle 'n' Roll recreates rock 'n' roll of the '50s, '60s and '70s with a song list of more than 500 classic hits. The band is Steve Baldwin on vocals, Andy Highhouse on guitar, Michael Tucker on bass, Alan Zucker on drums and Bill Crane on keyboards.

The Carson Valley County Club Restaurant & Bar, 1029 Riverview Drive, Gardnerville, hosts a New Year's Eve party with music by Ten Dollar Pony at 9 p.m. Thursday.

Larry Nair and Beth Oliveto of Ten Dollar Pony play original rock, Latin and blues-inspired music. They will be joined by Bill Quimby on bass and Don Piletic on drums.
