Jane E. Graham

A graveside service is 1 p.m. Monday at Happy Homestead Cemetery in South Lake Tahoe for Gardnerville resident Jane E. Graham, 92, who died April 16, 2009, in Reno.

Born Nov. 14, 1916, in New York City, to Robert and Mabel Quigley, she married John 'Jack' Graham in 1935.

After World War II, the couple moved to Los Angeles, where she was a homemaker and active in St. Steven's Lutheran Church. They raised a family and gold retrievers and were active in the golden retriever club. They moved to South Lake Tahoe in 1979, shortly before Mr. Graham's death.

She was active in the community and was a volunteer at Barton Hospital. She loved to travel and visited China, South America and Europe. She moved to Merrill Gardens in Gardnerville in 2001.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Graham was preceded in death by her parents, sister Ava Ippoliti, brother John Quigley and daughter Madeline.

She is survived by sons Jan (Patricia) of Reno and Thomas (Barbara) of Granada Hills, Calif.; granddaughter Erin of San Francisco and grandson Steven of Los Angeles.

Arrangements are entrusted to Walton's Chapel of the Valley in Carson City.
