The day dawned cloudy and cool, but that didn't deter any fall festival fun seekers. Douglas County Parks & Recreation held their annual Fall Festival on Oct. 4. The children raced in heats of girls or boys by grade level. Everyone ran a great race. Winners received a turkey for first place, a pumpkin pie for second place or a pumpkin for third place. Every runner received a ribbon. As always, the event was fun for all.
We would like to thank Raley's and Scolari's for their generous donations without which the Douglas County Parks & Recreation Department would not be able to continue to offer this annual event.
