Man arrested in road rage incident

An alleged road rage incident led to the arrest of an Indian Hills man Monday afternoon.

William Allen Scott, 32, was arrested 2 p.m. at the Clear Creek Plaza after an altercation on Highway 395 near TopsyLane.

Both Scott and the victim were involved in an argument and then a fight during which Scott allegedly struck the victim with a baton.

The victim, who was armed with a pistol, did not draw his weapon during the fight.

Deputies arrested Scott after photographing the victim's injuries, which showed damage to his elbow.

- Three people were arrested in a high-speed pursuit through Gardnerville on Monday night.

No details about the incident, which occurred at about 10:45 p.m., have been released.

The chase is believed to have begun at Highway 395 and Gilman Avenue and continued south into Mono County. Reports indicated the front tire of the vehicle blew out at one point, but it continued on a rim.
