Smoke that filled Carson Valley on Wednesday came from a 20-acre controlled burn near Diamond Peak, according to the Sierra Front Interagency Dispatch.
The dispatch received several calls during the day on Wednesday.
Residents reported the smoke was particularly heavy on Wednesday night.
