The R-C Morning Report

If the new board of county commissioners isn't going to get along, then 20 hours worth of workshops should make it much better. Today is the first of four five-hour sessions for county commissioners and the commissioner-elects at the Sunridge Fire Station. Good place. If there's trouble, lots of firehoses handy. The session begins at 8:30 a.m. I'd be stunned if it was more exciting than watching paint dry.

Today's the deadline to participate in the Douglas County Historical Society's 12th annual Gallery of Trees at the Carson Valley Museum & Cultural Center Dec. 6-31. Choose a theme and then get to trimming that tree. For information, call 782-2555.

The National Weather Service says it's going to be nice this weekend, and there's no reason to question that, right? Actually, there isn't. All the signs point to a nice high pressure system stuck right here in river city. Highs over the weekend will be in the mid-60s and lows in the mid-30s.
