Douglas senior softball pitcher Stephanie Harper has given her verbal commitment to play for Division II Concord University in West Virginia.
She is scheduled to sign her National Letter of Intent Wednesday in the high school gym at 2:10 p.m., along with volleyball standout Megan Mitchell, who is signing with Lees-McRae College.
Harper is already Douglas High all-time leader in career wins with 53 in three seasons. She has thrown two no-hitters in two seasons with more than 300 strikeouts.
