Wild Willy at Buckaroos tonight

Will Strickland, also known as Wild Willy, has been called the world's fastest song writer by Lacy J. Dalton. Strickland plays guitar and keyboards, 8 p.m. to midnight, tonight at Buckaroos Saloon.

Strickland lives in Virginia Highlands and plays dates with Dalton at Piper's Opera House. He's played at the Silver Dollar Saloon, the Bucket of Blood Saloon and sings classic country, outlaw country, Sinatra, Stevie Ray Vaughn and is known for his Johnny Cash tribute.

n Ted Nagel hosts karaoke, 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., Saturdays.

n Dale Jantzen hosts karaoke, 8-11 p.m. Wednesdays.

Shots benefit 20-30 Club

Members of the Carson Valley Men's Active 20-30 Club serve shots, 8 p.m. tonight, as a pre-Carson Valley Days fundraiser.

There will be a DJ spinning music, dancing and 100 percent of the cost of shots goes to the 20-30 club at Jimmy G's Smokin' Hot Cigar Bar, 1595 Highway 395, Minden.

Barbecue and open mic in Genoa

Villa Gigli open through summer

Guitarist George Hanepen entertains dinner guests on the deck 6-8 p.m. Sundays at Villa Gigli. Saturdays are pizza night and Sundays are pasta night from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Carson Valley Inn entertainment

Major Link appears through Sunday and various duos entertain on Monday nights. Cabaret Lounge entertainment is presented with no cover and no minimum in 45-minute shows at 7:30, 8:30, 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30 p.m.

San Francisco Bay area band Major Link uses technically advanced musical equipment to cover a range of popular music including pop, rhythm & blues and good old rock 'n' roll. The band is Terry Saunders on guitar and Mary Owens on keyboards and vocals.

The Red Hot Smokin' Aces take the Cabaret Lounge stage Tuesday and play until June 8. The Red Hot Smokin' Aces play country and oldies to pop chart toppers " from Gretchen Wilson to Stevie Wonder, and Merle Haggard to Roy Orbison. The band is the father/daughter team of Jeffrey and Ileia who collectively have toured the Northwest for more than 40 years.
