The R-C Morning Report

It's been a fairly slow start to the already-shortened holiday week, so pretty much all we have to talk about is the weather.

Someone commented yesterday that it would appear we've suddenly made the move to the Northwest as a community.

More thunderstorms are expected today and Thursday, meaning that we have been on overcast mode for more than a week now. Highs are only expected to climb into the high 60s over the next three days.

Enjoy it while it lasts, because those long hot weeks of summer aren't too far around the corner.

The Lampe Park farmers market will run from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. today. If you can get a couple minutes to break away from work, plenty of locally-grown farm goods will be on display.

Things will pick up considerably over the next three weekends, starting with the Kids' Fishing Derby at Lampe Park this weekend. Next weekend will be the Douglas High School graduation and Carson Valley Days follows the week after.
