Groups plan improvement events

Volunteers from GE Energy will be working on the Copeland Lumber Building on Saturday as part of their Global Community Day Project. The Copeland building is being converted into a multipurpose performing arts center by the Carson Valley Arts Council.

Members of both groups are asking for the donation of materials to help complete the project, including cans of interior and exterior latex paint, rolls of plastic sheeting, plastic drop cloths, paint roller covers and painter's tape.

Materials may be dropped off at the GE building at 1631 Bently Parkway South in Minden during regular business hours.
