Wild Willy

Fil Fest is Saturday

Carson Valley bands The Xenophobes, Buster Blue and The Juvinals are included in the lineup for Fil Fest, noon to 11 p.m. Saturday at Fritz's, 1305 N. Virginia St., Reno. Concert is for all ages. Admission $10.

Rustlers play

at Buckaroos

n The Rustlers play, 8 p.m. to midnight, Friday. The Rustlers cover hard-core country music by Montgomery Gentry, Alan Jackson, Brooks & Dunn and Dierks Bently. The Carson City-based band is Ev Musselman on guitar and lead vocals, Larry Goldman on bass guitar and vocals, Brian Williams on lead guitar and vocals, Jim Park on pedal steel guitar and Russ Hohenberger on drums and vocals.

n Ted Nagel hosts karaoke, 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., Saturdays.

n Dale Jantzen hosts karaoke, 8-11 p.m. Wednesdays.

Live folk-rock music at 88 Cups

Test Tube Babies play acoustic folk-rock music, 7 p.m. Saturday, at 88 Cups Coffee and Tea, 1663 Lucerne St. in Minden Village. The Test Tube Babies are Larry Nair on guitar and vocals and Beth Oliveto on percussion and vocals. Information, 783-0688.


Carson Valley Inn entertainment

Drew Baker appears through Sunday and various duos entertain on Monday nights. Cabaret Lounge entertainment is presented with no cover and no minimum in 45-minute shows at 7:30, 8:30, 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30 p.m.

The Drew Baker Band plays a large variety of music, specializing in classic rock. Leader Baker plays guitar, keyboards and is the lead singer. Wayne Carson sings and plays guitar. Sara Costa is on percussion and vocals. Scott Web plays sax, guitar and keyboards and sings. Bob Kuhn plays drums.

Street Heart takes the Cabaret Lounge stage Tuesday and plays until May 18. Street Heart covers '60s to '90s classic rock 'n' rock music. The band is Tom Quinn on lead guitar and vocals, Gus Bueaudoin on bass and vocals, Todd Hidden on drums and vocals and Wolfgang Grasekamp on keyboards.

Comedy show

at CVI on May 23

Comedians Michael Mancini and Sean Peabody join host and producer Kat Simmons for a special Comedy Night Live show at the Carson Valley Inn on May 23.
