The Pine Nut Mountains Trails Association along with the Douglas High School Alpine Club will host a cleanup of trails in the Mission Hot Springs area, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. The group will meet at the north end of Vicky Lane.
Bring good shoes and gloves. Shovels and garbage bags will be provided. Bringing pickup trucks would be helpful for removing trash.
"We'll be picking up shot gun shells and hauling a car out of there - it's ridiculous what people dump," said club member Rita Borselli.
The Pine Nut Mountains Trails Association appreciates donations of food and beverages for the cleanup crew.
The group meets the first Thursday of the month at Round Table Pizza on Topsy Lane.
