A skydiver killed in Carson Valley 2 p.m. Easter Sunday was identified as a Skydive Tahoe instructor.

According to another instructor who witnessed the incident, Wes Harberts, co-owner of the business, was the man killed in the incident. According to the witness, the parachute opened, but kept spinning and Harberts was not able to correct the issue in time.

At least one person was helicoptered for medical treatment after a 1:30 p.m. accident at Highway 88 and Mottsville Lane on Easter. No further details are available this morning. We'll be tracking that one down.

Time to tie everything down as March does its out with a lion thing this week. A high wind watch has been issued for Wednesday. Expect gusts of up to 60 mph starting late Tuesday night through Wednesday morning along Highway 395 from Reno to Minden. Ridge gusts are forecast to hit 90 mph.

There's a little bit of precipitation associated with this storm, with a 20 percent chance of snow showers Wednesday night. The high's are going way down though, with temperatures hitting 52 on Wednesday and 49 on Thursday.
