I received a note pointing out that the groom-to-be in a May 30 engagement announcement, was none other than Stevie Edmonds, who was submerged in an irrigation canal in a car accident on Dec. 21, 1987.

Linda Monohan wrote about him on the 20th anniversary of what can only be referred to as a Christmas miracle.

Stephen is a parachute rigger in the U.S. Navy and is marrying Tiffany Strickler of Clovis, Calif.
