High school students gardeners of Gardnerville

The Town of Gardnerville added a little color to Main Street last week when they hung flower baskets from the new light poles.

The flower baskets were grown at the Douglas High School greenhouse by agriculture teacher Allyson Lammiman's class.

Town maintenance workers will water the plants through the summer, which started on Friday.

The weather is expected to behave itself through the first full week of summer with highs in the lower 90s and overnight lows in the upper 40s.
