A Gardnerville woman was in critical condition after an accident at Highway 88 and Centerville Lane on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, Leann Briggs, 56, of Gardnerville, was driving east on Centerville Lane at about 1:45 p.m. in a Chevrolet Malibu.
Briggs entered the intersection, colliding with a black Ford Excursion being driven south by 35-year-old Erin Yohnka of South Lake Tahoe.
According to the preliminary investigation, Briggs failed to yield to the Excursion.
Briggs was taken to Renown RegionalMedical Center by Careflight.
