Villa Gigli open weekends

Guitarist George Hanepen entertains dinner guests on the deck 6-8 p.m. Sundays at Villa Gigli. Saturdays are pizza night and Sundays are pasta night from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Carson Valley Inn entertainment

The Red Hot Smokin' Aces appear through Sunday and various duos entertain on Monday nights. Cabaret Lounge entertainment is presented with no cover and no minimum in 45-minute shows at 7:30, 8:30, 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30 p.m.

The Red Hot Smokin' Aces play country and oldies to pop chart toppers " from Gretchen Wilson to Stevie Wonder, and Merle Haggard to Roy Orbison. The band is the father/daughter team of Jeffrey and Ileia who collectively have toured the Northwest for more than 40 years.

Melissa Dru takes the Cabaret Lounge stage Tuesday and plays until June 15. Melissa Dru and her band entertain with top 40, classic rock and pop music. Their style and stage presence appeal to a wide range of audiences. The quartet is Dru on vocals, rhythm guitar and percussion, Mick Hampson on vocals and guitar, Jim Haase on keyboards and vocals and Nathan Rodney on drums and vocals.

Theater auditions begin June 24

Auditions for "Night of January 16th" courtroom drama and murder trial by Ayn Rand are 7-9 p.m. June 24 and June 25 and 2-4 p.m. June 28 and June 29 at the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension office, 1329 Waterloo Lane, Gardnerville. Needed are 17 male and female actors, ages 25 to 75. Performances will be Sept. 12-14 and Sept. 19-21 at the CVIC Hall in Minden.
