Data specialist employee of the year

Paula Henricks, a data processing specialist for the Douglas County School District Education Services Department, was named Classified Employee of the Year on May 29.

"Paula's impact as a team player is felt throughout the district," said Brian Frazier, director of grants and assessments. "She works collaboratively with staff members to provide information, data, problem solve or interact with a testing vendor to help solve the problem. Regardless of the individual, Paula uses the same quiet, helpful manner to work through the concern with the individual."

Frazier lauded Henricks' work ethic.

"Paula is very conscientious, takes her work very seriously, has a wonderful work ethic, is easy to work with and works well with others, and has added volumes to this department's goal of assisting schools and school personnel with their understanding and management of assessments and assessment data," he said.

Henricks, who has worked for the district for 16 years, also volunteers as a children's ministry worker at the Country Church in Fallon and previously worked at churches in Gardnerville and Carson City.
