Dr. Tom and Carrie Embree of Gardnerville announce the engagement of their daughter, Shanell Nicole Marhevka, to Ryan Alexander Martin.
Marhevka is a 2003 graduate of Carson High School and lives in Tracy, Calif., where her responsibilities include taking care of their Rhodesian ridgeback dogs, Penny and Duncan.
Martin, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Martin of King City, Calif., graduated with a degree in logistics from the University of Nevada, Reno, in 2002. He is employed as a consolidation manager at JC Penney.
The couple became engaged on Christmas Eve and plan to be married June, 14, 2008, in Genoa.
