Clearys celebrate 50th anniversay

Genoa residents Rex and Alice Cleary celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in May. Both Alice and Rex were Douglas County High School graduates.

Rex retired from the Bureau of Land Management and returned from Utah in 1989. He worked for Resource Concepts for 17 years in Carson City.

Alice retired from teaching full-time in 1989. She worked as a substitute teacher in Carson Valley, Carson City and Dayton for 15 years. The Clearys have lived in Genoa for 19 years. The couple's son, Russ, and his three children, live in Boise, Idaho.
