Carson River Community Bank passes $42 million mark

Carson River Community Bank, a locally-owned bank in the North Valley Plaza near Target, has surpassed $42 million in total assets.

"We are thriving in spite of difficult times in our industry," said bank president and CEO Dan Dykes. "Our flexible service delivery and friendly staff have made the difference with our customers."

The bank was chartered in 2006 and recently opened an administrative office in Gardnerville.

"We're here for the long run," said Dykes. "I think the people of western Nevada are open to supporting a locally owned and operated financial institution."

Dykes thanked the bank's customers.

"I am thankful to all those who have made the decision to move their banking business to us over the past 18 months," he said.

Carson River Community Bank is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and has a 24-hour ATM drive-through service.
