The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Western Nevada, including Douglas County, starting at 11 a.m. today.
Strong thunderstorms are expected to develop this afternoon with a chance of flash flooding. The best chance for thunderstorm activity will be east of Highway 395.
Storms will move northward tonight with frequent lightning.
