Appraisal offered at antique show and sale

Artwork, furniture, collectibles, and an appraisal clinic can be found at the Genoa Antiques Show & Sale, July 19 and 20 at the Genoa Town Hall.

Dealers will also be at Genoa Antiques and Antiques Plus and most will deliver.

Victorian-era collectibles, furniture, lamps, trunks, clocks, linens, yard art, shabby chic, pine, glass, china, sun purpled glass will be on sale by dealers from California and Nevada.

Appraisers with a combined experience of 50 years will be on hand to give appraisals for $5 per item, with no limit to the number of items brought. Good photos of items too big to bring in can be used for appraisals.

The Borges Family will offer carriage rides during the weekend. Buzz & Doug will be on the front porch playing country western & blues music. Members of the Carson Valley Pops Orchestra will play violins and Georgette Twain will play banjo.

Hours of the Genoa Antique Show & Sale are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 19, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 20. Admission is $1.50 and parking is free. Proceeds from the show benefits, in part, the Carson Valley Pops Orchestra.
