There's a rumor floating around that I'm telling people Two Guys from Italy is closing. I'm not. The Gardnerville restaurant is open its regular hours and hosting several group meetings, including the Sierra Nevada Republican Women on July 9. They'll have the Republican commission candidates there, so it will be a good one. Here's hoping the restaurant will continue to flourish for decades to come.
The smoke plume that was coming at us from the west has shifted and now is coming at us from the south. We've yet to generate much smoke on our own and that's a good thing.
Expect it to stay smoky today and tonight. The Weather Service is predicting it will drop off on Wednesday for the Fourth of July holiday. Today's high temperature is predicted to be 90 degrees.
