March 14 hearing date set in Indian Hills pursuit

A man accused of leading Washoe Tribal Police Officers on a high speed chase will face a hearing to determine if there is sufficient evidence to hold him in the ramming of a police cruiser on March 14.

Robert Hernandez, 21, stepson to Carson City Mayor Marv Teixeira, appeared in East Fork Justice Court this morning.

Hernandez was returned to Douglas County last week on charges of felony eluding and assault with a deadly weapon. He is serving a 16-month sentence in California on unrelated charges.

Hernandez waived his right to a preliminary hearing within 15 days.
