Kindermusik classes begin Jan. 30



Kindermusik classes through the Douglas County Parks & Recreation Department begin Jan. 30.


Kindermusik fosters development of newborns through age 7 through a combination of music and movement. Learning continues at home using the specially designed books, CDs and games. Home activities include movement and dance to improve coordination and balance and music-making to develop self-discipline and creative thinking.


Classes are Wednesdays beginning at the Douglas County Parks & Recreation Annex Building, 1327 Waterloo Lane, Gardnerville. Space is limited, preregistration at recreation department required. For information, call the recreation department at 782-9828 or Shawna Pisciotti at 265-2191.


Classes offered:


-- Village for newborn to 1 year, 10-10:30 a.m. Cost, $125 plus $65 material fee.


-- Our Time for 1-3 years, 9:15-9:45 a.m. or 10:45-11:15 a.m. Cost, $125 plus $65 material fee.


-- Imagine That for 3-4 years, 2:15-3 p.m. Cost, $135 plus $70 material fee. ($55 for returning students)


-- Young Child, 5-7 years, 3:15-4:15 p.m. Cost, $155 plus $80 material fee.
