Former president makes campaign stop in Minden

Former President Bill Clinton stopped in Minden for a campaign speech on behalf of his wife, Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., tonight.

Nearly 400 people packed the CVIC Hall to hear Clinton speak for a little longer than an hour and take questions from the crowd.

The visit was announced Saturday and residents lined up along Esmeralda Avenue to hear the former president.

While many were Democrats, some were just interested in seeing Clinton in his visit to one of Nevada's more conservative counties.

After the speech, Clinton spoke with well-wishers outside the hall.
