The Nevada chapter of the Associated General Contractors has named its 2008 president Mike Cate of Gardnerville. Cate is co-owner of Pavers Plus Inc., which specializes in concrete, masonry and interlocking pavers. He graduated from Douglas High School and attended University of Nevada, Reno. Cate has more than 30 years in the construction industry. He formed Construction Development Services in 1985. In 2002, he partnered with John Garrett to form Pavers Plus. "I look forward to serving as AGC president this year and hope to bring the next generation of contractors into a more active role within the organization and the community," Cate said.
