The above-average Sierra snowpack this winter should help produce an energetic river flow for the annual Carson Valley Inn Rafting Outing on June 7. The 20-mile float down the Carson River features views of wildlife, geological formations and snow-capped mountains set against the bright blue sky.
An all-inclusive rafting outing package includes Friday and Saturday night hotel accommodations, a continental breakfast and pretrip briefing, bus transportation to and from the river and lunch. The trip requires basic maneuvering ability and is not a gentle float. Count on exerting energy and the occasional splashes of cold water while navigating river obstacles.

The Carson Valley Inn is on Highway 395 in Minden near the intersection of Highway 88.
