Douglas County investigators are looking into five commercial burglaries in Gardnerville between Sunday night and Wednesday morning.

Sometime Sunday night someone slipped into an unsecured window at the El Aguila Mexican Restaurant and took money and $200 worth of alcohol.

Deputies responded to a burglar alarm at the Pizza Barn 3:45 a.m. Tuesday where they found fresh pry marks on the rear door where someone had entered. The business owner found that nothing was missing.

On Tuesday night there were three commercial burglaries on Industrial Way, including Helping Hands Thrift Store, High Sierra Fellowship Church and Laxague Feed Store.

Money was taken from the thrift store. The church was entered through an unlocked side door. Nothing was taken but whoever broke in discharged the fire extinguishers inside.

Money was taken from the feed store, after someone entered through an unlocked window.
