More snow expected this morning

The sun's up this morning, but there is a big cloud hanging over the Sierra. A heavy snow warning remains in effect for Western Nevada through 4 p.m. today. The National Weather Service is warning that bands of heavy snow, falling at 2 inches an hour, are expected to hit near the Sierra and in the foothills by late this morning. In all 10 inches of snow accumulated in Genoa on Saturday. Chain or snow tires are expected for many Valley roads and all mountain ones. Trucks are being held at the border on Interstate 80.
