Soroptimists Honor Student Achievers
Soroptimist International of Carson Valley held a luncheon on Feb. 19 to honor this year's recipients of the Student Achievers Award.
Every year, students are acknowledged by the Soroptimists for overcoming adversity in their lives and turning their situations into a positive outcome by their choices. Teachers or counselors nominate students who fit the criteria and who they believe are deserving of the award and acknowledgement.
Four students each received a check for $100 along with a plaque acknowledging them for their hard work.
