Body found in south Reno won't be identified until Saturday

A spokesman said a body found in South Reno won't be identified until an autopsy is completed.

Reno Public Information Officer Steve Frady said no cause of death or identification would be available until after the preliminary coroner's report is issued on Saturday.

Frady deferred reporters' questions until after the autopsy. The body was found 100 feet off Double R Boulevard in south Reno after officers received a tip from a worker coming home from lunch.

Missing Reno woman Briana Dennison, 19, has been the subject of a search after she disappeared Jan. 20 from a home near the University of Reno, Nevada.
