Obama leads Clinton in Alpine County

While Sen. Barack Obama is running 20 points behind in the California presidential primary, tiny Alpine County is leaning toward the Illinois Democrat . Obama leads New York Sen. Hillary Clinton in California's least populous county 67 votes to 51. In a rare flop, Democrat Dennis Kucinich came in third over Sen. John Edwards with 7 votes to Edwards 4.

On the Republican side, Alpine is mirroring the state with Sen. John McCain leading Mitt Romney 32 votes to 23. Texan Ron Paul is third with 13 votes and Mike Huckabee is fourth with seven.

Three of Alpine County's five precincts are reporting as of 11:08 p.m.
