The Program of Academic Exchange is seeking families in Douglas County to host foreign exchange students. Host families need to meet a student's basic needs: Lodging, food, love and support.
Program of Academic Exchange students have their own spending money and medical insurance. They are expected to pitch in with household chores and participate in everyday family activities.
During a 10-month stay, the student comes to understand what it really means to be an American as the host family, community, and school friends help he or she learn about life in this country. Students will be arriving in August for the 2008-09 school year.
