A 73-year-old man is in Douglas County custody awaiting extradition to Kansas for aggravated assault.
Dallas Ray Smith was arrested Dec. 24 on a fugitive warrant.
He told Justice of the Peace Jim EnEarl that he waived extradition.
"I didn't know anything about this," he said in court on Friday.
EnEarl ordered Smith held until Jan. 5 for Kansas authorities.
Should they fail to extradite him, Smith may ask to be released from custody.
