Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services presents an educational event, 2-3 p.m. Tuesday at the Douglas County Senior Center, 2300 Meadow Lane, Gardnerville.
The events provides resources to help beneficiaries make choices about their health and drug plans during Medicare's fall open enrollment period that ends Dec. 31.
Beneficiaries are urged to review the 2009 costs for their current drug and health plan and compare the cost and coverage to other plans in their area. Experts will be on-site to help people Medicare who cannot afford their prescription drug costs learn more about financial assistance available to help pay for their drug coverage.
