Whether it's the Antique Engine & Tractor Show or the Valley Cruisers Show and Shine, the internal combustion engine will take center stage this weekend in Carson Valley.
Tonight Gardnerville is showing "Citizen Kane," a movie near and dear to any newsie's heart. Spoiler alert! Rosebud is the sled. And Kane's mom is Agnes Moorehead, who played Samantha's mom in "Bewitched." That's pretty much all I remember from the movie. Thanks Derwood.
Time and temperature said it was 102 Thursday afternoon and the car said 103. I will say this, when it's hotter than 100 degrees out, 99 degrees feels pretty nice. Be careful out there this weekend. Stay alert and keep hydrated. Today the temperature is supposed to hit 100 and begin a long slide. We'll see.
