Alpine Records Commission seeking chamber history

The Alpine County Historical Records Commission is endeavoring to rebuild the history of the Alpine County Chamber of Commerce since its inception, circa 1924. Over the years, locations have been changed, records lost or destroyed inadvertently, and files shuffled off to who knows where. There are currently few records of past officers, employees, minutes, agendas, charters, or State Attorney General approvals to form a basis of historical nature. The Commission is asking all those with a past connection to the Chamber to check their files, pictures of events, etc. for any reference data available, and submit to the County Clerk, Library, Museum, or Chamber of Commerce, all of which are available on line at alpinecountyca.com.
