Get ready for Valley cruisin' this weekend

The Valley Cruisers 21st annual Main Street Event is Friday through Sunday.

Check-in is 3-6 p.m. Friday at Lampe Park in Gardnerville, followed with a barbecue dinner at the CVIC Hall, and a street dance and music in downtown Minden.

Saturday's events in Lampe Park include show and shine, swap meet, car corral, music, raffles and variety show. Sunday's events include poker run, show and shine, swap meet, car corral and awards presentation.

The show and shine features 33 judging classes for vehicles from 1900-1972, with classes for stock, modified, trucks and special interest vehicles such as fire trucks.

Buy and sell cars at the car corral, Saturday and Sunday, in Lampe Park. Two-day space fee is $25. Information, Diana, 265-3654.
