Community education classes offered

Western Nevada College, Douglas campus, offers non-credit community education classes this fall including massage therapy, watercolor painting or mosaics.

Some classes meet for one day while others meet for the fall semester.

Mosaic for adults meets Wednesdays from Oct. 29 to Nov. 19. Learn basic mosaic techniques by making coasters, trivets or more advanced projects. Cost, $85.

Watercolor painting meets 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 11 for painting on location in Hope Valley. Cost is $65.

Alternative techniques to reduce stress is 9 a.m. to noon Oct. 18. Cost is $35.

Break the cycle of pain with massage meets Nov. 15. Cost is $35.

Reflexology shows how to perform hand, foot and ear massage to improve the health. Semester begins at end of August. Times are to be determined. Cost, $30.

First degree Reiki is a full-term course utilizing healing energy through the hands. Times are to be determined. Cost is $100.

Coping with fibromyalgia is a semester course on ways to ease or work around symptoms of fibromyalgia. Cost, $15.
