At the Lake: One dead in North Lake Tahoe airplane crash

One person is dead in an airplane crash that took place this morning, about 2 miles north Incline Village, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

A Cessna 172 took off from Palo Alto, Calif., at 8:09 p.m. on Thursday. The aircraft had one person on board and crashed in a remote area north of Incline, at some time this morning, said FAA spokesman Ian Gregor.
