Weaving class begins at senior center May 1

Instructor Marilyn Elligott offers a six-week weaving class, 1:30-3:30 p.m. Thursdays beginning May 1 at the Douglas County Senior Center, 2300 Meadow Lane, Gardnerville.

The class offers instruction on weaving with a loom, measuring and design techniques as well as the fiber and loom types and the history of weaving. A project will be completed by the conclusion of the program.

Elligott is a life-long knitter, has been spinning for 20 years and weaving for six years. She is a member of the Mother Lode Weavers and Spinners and Anne's Web of Monterey.


Class is $50. No experience necessary. Information, 783-6455.
