Called the Embezzlement Reimbursement Car Parts and Rummage Sale, the Valley Cruisers Car Club is hoping to raise money so they can start making charitable donations again.
The club's former treasurer pleaded guilty to stealing $10,000 from the club which put a halt to their annual contributions.
"The rest of the club and its many supporters are committed to replacing these funds as soon as possible in order to make their planned annual contributions," said Cruisers member Bill Thomas.
The Cruisers are holding the sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 26 at WT Cool Cars, 2480 Precision Way, Unit K, in the Johnson Lane area.
Booth space is available for $20, and the club is accepting donations for sale.
"Come by on the morning of the sale to spend, spend, spend," Thomas said.
"The club and its many supporters are committed to replacing these funds as soon as possible in order to make their planned annual contributions," he said.
Club donations support the Carson Valley Community Food Closet, Family Support Council, Douglas County Senior Center, Project Santa Claus, City of Refuge, Douglas County Sheriff's Search and Rescue and Douglas High School.
