Alpine Creek Day on Saturday

The Alpine Creek Day will be 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Alpine Watershed Group will host the annual community watershed stewardship program. There will be creek side restoration and clean-up as well as fun activities and crafts that will help participants learn why keeping our rivers and streams healthy is so important. We are also conducting a water monitoring training and enlisting new volunteers for the citizens monitor program.

Those interested in participating in restoration project meet at the Alpine County Public Library located at 270 Laramie Street in Markleeville. Lunch will be provided. Open to all ages. For more information contact Chris Katopothis, 520-694-2327.
