Women's 20-30 Club hosts bartending night

Join the ladies of the Sierra Nevada Active 20-30 Club, 8 p.m. Saturday at Backroads Bar & Grill as they step behind the bar and serve drinks for charity.

Sponsored by Capital Beverage and Samuel Adams, the event will begin at 8 p.m. with a live performance from southern rock band, Big Bad Wolf.

The club is looking for women between the ages of 20-39, married or single, interested in joining the club to raise money for special needs children in Douglas County.

"Many think we're a singles club, but we're anything but," said club president Jacquie Manoukian."We do many hands-on activities throughout the year, and travel and network with other clubs in the area. We hope to find ladies that are looking to network personally and professionally, meet new people and help children in need."

Backroads Bar & Grill at 2244 Meridian Way off Airport Road in Minden. The recruitment event begins at 8 p.m. with drink specials and a 50/50 raffle. Information, sierranv2030.org.
