Sports Today: Coleville volleyball sweeps week

The Coleville High School volleyball team won its four matches last week, beating Excel Christian 25-11, 25-15, 25-11 on Tuesday.


Kymberlee Curti and Amara Rowley had 11 points each. Curti had six kills and five aces and Rowley had seven aces and four kills.


Rowley had 11 assists, Kassie Pemberton had 10 and Kim Torley had four kills and three aces.


Skyler Isbell had four kills and three blocks, Molly Garcia had two kills and Tawny Booher had two aces.


On Friday, Coleville hosted Gabbs in a double header and swept both matches.

In the first match, Rowley and Pemberton each had nine assists and Curti led the team in kills with seven.


Isbell had five kills and Rowley, Torley and Garcia each had two.


Torley led the team in aces with five, Rowley had three and Curti had two.


In the second match, Rowley had eight aces, Torley and Pemberton had three each and Booher had two.


Curti had five kills, Rowley had three and Torley and Garcia each had two.


Rowley and Pemberton each had six assists.


Coleville hosted Big Pine Saturday and picked up a 25-7, 25-10, 25-11 win.


Curti had 11 kills, Rowley had five, Torley had three and Isbell had two. Curti and Rowley each had three aces amd Torley had two.


Garcia added two points with blocks.


Rowley put up 11 assists and Pemberton finished with eight.


Coleville is now 9-3 overall and will travel to Whittell Thursday and McDermitt on Saturday.
