Clive "Azzie" Azevedo

1937-2007

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. today at FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home in Gardnerville for Clive "Azzie" Azevedo, 69, who died Sept. 10, 2007, at his home in Minden.

Mr. Azevedo was born Nov. 24, 1937, in San Francisco to Joseph and Lillian Azevedo.

He honorably served in the U.S. Navy. He worked in the gaming industry for 25 years and also drove as a special education bus driver in Douglas County for 10 years. He has been a resident of Minden for 22 years and a resident of Nevada for 45 years. He loved the outdoors, especially RV camping and fishing. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Yvonne Cary. He is survived by his wife Coralyn Azevedo, son Jimmy Martin, daughter Holly Coughlin, son Robert Leedom, sister Barbara Gotelli, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are in the care of FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home in Gardnerville.
